Glass Transition

Do you guys know about the glass transition? A friend of mine was just briefly explaning it to me. I don't have any kind of knowledge in materials science so it's all new to me. Really interesting to think that blowing glass/ironing clothes/bread baking all involve the same kind of physical process.

Looks interesting, I actually don't know a lot about it, the things I've studied are almost entirely ordered, crystalline materials. Ultimately seems like some sort of metastable state in something with a big entropic contribution. But I've been meaning to learn more about amorphous systems because I think there are cool ones...
